Session 6 — “Shattered Tide”

• Morning coffee date: Imogen met Raksana.
  
  • The date was interrupted by a guardsman, reporting that bodies had been found floating in the river (the assassins).
    
• The party traveled to Starborn Academy.
  
• First major lore drop:
  
  • Starborn Academy is built to preserve knowledge after the Starfall. Founded by Elyndin Starshard.
    
  • Drak’lira is suspected by Lutis to be a moon orbiting a giant world.
    
  • The Starfall destroyed the old magic weave and killed most gods.
    
    • Only gods like the Dawnfather, Everlight, and Matron of Ravens remain active because they exist in other unaffected planes and act on this world through the weave and their champions.  They were just crippled until the weave was resewn by Myrrhalei, the Shardmother
      
• Professor Lutis of Lunia told the party he needs better data to refine his celestial theories.
  
• Other professors also showed interest in the island for their respective filters of study, like Geomancy, Beastiology, etc.
  
• New mission: investigate a newly surfaced island in Starbit Bay.
  
• The party sets sail with Captain Idris.
  
• At sea: The party found bloody wreckage and a dead sailor on a cloven raft.
  
• Upon reaching the island:
  
  •  talking to a seagull offered little insight.
    
  • They were confronted by shark-men (Ruk’tai) who warned them to leave immediately.
    
  • When Vesolnir began casting the scroll “Reality Unfolded”, the shark-men attacked.
    
  • Fighting erupted.
    
    • The shark-man leader was put to sleep,
      
    • Several Ruk’tai warriors were killed.
